Whistler real estate transaction report for Aug. 30
This weekend saw the grand opening of Whistler’s newest Olympic legacy – the Whistler Olympic Plaza Stage. Sam Roberts was the main act and we were treated to a great show. I am continually impressed with this great new area. I was pleased to see all the folks on their balconies surrounding the Plaza – front row seats from your balcony.
This past week Whistler saw 24 new listings, 8 Sales and 18 Price reductions in Whistler. This compares to last week which saw 33 new listings, 13 sales and 33 price reductions.

This week I draw you attention to #206 in Glacier Lodge. This is a new listing of a 1 bedroom 601sf 1 bedroom unit at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. Currently priced at $269k.
Also of interest is another 1 bedroom in the Aspens, facing the pool. This is ski in/ ski out property and we have not seen a 1 bedroom priced lower that $350k. Currently listed at $329k.
In the ¼ ownership world, there is a reduction in a Montebello 3 bedroom 3.5 bath unit to $190k.
Lisa and I will be bringing on a great 1.5 bed unit in Nordic Court at $315k. This is zoned employee housing which means anyone can own with a local employee or retiree taking occupancy.
