The Canadian Real Estate Association has reported beginning of this week that existing home sales in Vancouver decreased last month and the average price had a slight drop.
In December, the number of sales in Vancouver decreased by 4.1 per cent, coinciding with a 2% ease to $734,766 in the average price, seasonally adjusted.

BC Assessment's annual report is stating that real estate values have increased 6% overall in the Province of BC, with Stewart BC leading the way with a 20.8% increase.
Metro Vancouver saw “significant” increases with the top 3 areas being: Richmond - 16.5% increase, Vancouver - 16.4% increase and West Vancouver with a 15.9% increase.
